NEW YORK CITY — LDS pianists Sally, Stephanie and Lindsey Brinton performed at Carnegie Recital Hall on Sept. 11. The mother and daughter trio were given a standing ovation by the New York City audience after performing works by Mozart, Bizet, Saint-Saens, Ravel, Rachmaninoff, and closing with Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue." Marking the fifth anniversary of the terrorist attacks on New York City, it was the second event of the day at the historic concert hall, the first being a performance of Mozart's Requiem by The Juilliard Orchestra.
Sister Brinton, Relief Society Enrichment leader in the Federal Heights Ward, Salt Lake Emigration Stake, and her daughters, Stephanie, 18 and Lindsey, 16, have performed in major cities throughout the world. Last summer, they were featured artists at the Amalfi Music Festival in Naples, Italy.
