New mission presidents

Seven mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency to begin their service about July 1.

William Mark Bassett, 40, Arizona Mesa Mission; Antelope 4th Ward, Antelope California Stake; stake president; former bishop and counselor, high councilor, ward mission leader and missionary in the Guatemala Guatemala City Mission. CFO and co-owner, West Coast Auto Auctions. Born in Carmichael, Calif., to William Lynn and Edwina Acker Bassett. Married Angela Brasher, five children.

A Primary teacher, Sister Bassett is a former counselor in ward Young Women and Primary presidencies, stake Young Women secretary, teacher in Relief Society, Primary and gospel doctrine. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Larry Frank and Anne Hansen Brasher.

Earl L. Christison, 54, Colorado Denver South Mission; Rock Creek Ward, Maple Valley Washington Stake; high priests group instructor; former stake president, bishop, stake mission president and missionary in the Kansas-Missouri Mission. Retired chief administrative officer of Providence Health Services. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Earl Leone Christison Jr. and Glennis Lenae Winn Christison. Married Melba Lynn McMillan, six children.

Sister Christison is a former counselor in a stake Young Women presidency, ward Young Women president and seminary teacher. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Howard E and Beverly Richardson McMillan.

Paul Allen Jones, 43, Chile Santiago West Mission; Walnut Hills 2nd Ward, Kearns Utah West Stake; counselor in the stake presidency; former bishop and counselor, stake mission president, high councilor, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Chile Santiago North Mission. Vice president of human resources, USANA Health Sciences. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Sharman Bruce and Kathy Marie Frisbey Jones. Married Elizabeth Broulim, five children.

A counselor in the ward Relief Society presidency, Sister Jones is a former stake Young Women camp director, Cub Scout leader, gospel doctrine teacher and ward Primary chorister. Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Charles Richard and Vonnie Lue Dabell Broulim.

Mark Branch Millburn, 55, Virginia Richmond Mission; Reading Ward, Centerville Utah North Stake; Aaronic Priesthood adviser; former counselor in a stake presidency, bishop, ward executive secretary, gospel doctrine teacher and missionary in the Eastern States Mission. President and CEO of EquiMark Properties. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frank Branch and Bertha Frieda Aste Millburn. Married Maylene Allen, seven children.

Michael Rodney Murray, 51, Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission; Novelty Hill Ward, Redmond Washington Stake; bishop of the Sammamish Valley (YSA) Ward; former high councilor, ward mission leader and Sunday School teacher. Chairman and co-founder of Unitus. Born in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Rodney Nelson and Marie Doherty Murray. Married Joyce Bleak, four children.

Sister Murray is a former ward Young Women president and counselor, counselor in a ward Primary presidency, nursery leader, Sunday School teacher and seminary teacher. Born in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Merlin Wells and Renae Allred Bleak.

David Trembath Sanchez, 56, California San Bernardino Mission; Rivergrove 1st Ward, Provo Utah Central Stake; counselor in the stake presidency; former bishop and counselor, high councilor, Scoutmaster, stake Young Men president, high priests group leader and missionary in the Florida South (Spanish) Mission. Owner and CEO, Total Property Management. Born in Oakland, Calif., to John Edward and Ruth Irene Johnson Sanchez. Married Carol Stewart, six children.

A stake Young Women camp director, Sister Sanchez is a former stake Relief Society and Young Women president, counselor in a ward Young Women presidency, stake music chairman, Relief Society teacher and ward choir director. Born in Reno, Nev., to Ralph Boyd and Jo Ann Spencer Stewart.

Wesley Bruce Thompson, 58, Germany Hamburg Mission; East Mill Creek 4th Ward, Salt Lake East Mill Creek Stake; Aaronic Priesthood adviser; former stake president, bishop, high councilor and missionary in the Austria Mission. Vice president, Intermountain Healthcare. Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Clyde and Alice Rohrbach Thompson. Married Rebecca Louise Landward, four children.
