Family: Born April 10, 1957, to Wayne F. Pearson and Velda Labrum Pearson; married June Langeland on June 24, 1980, in the Salt Lake Temple. Parents of six children: Jared (Shersti), Spencer, John, Matthew, Benjamin and Elizabeth; three grandchildren.
Education: Bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Utah (1981); master's degree in business administration and corporate finance from Harvard Business School (1983).
Career: Vice president, Brighton Consulting Group (1984-1988); principal, Ernst & Young (1988-1991); chief operating office/chief financial officer, Medicode (1991-1997); chief executive officer, Ingenix, Inc. (1998-2005).
Church Service: President, Washington Tacoma Mission (2005-2008); former elders quorum president, Young Men president, bishop's counselor and bishop; served in Finland Helsinki Mission (1976-1978).
