Four new temple presidents have been called by the First Presidency, with their wives called as matrons. They will begin service soon.
Dale Thomas Borgquist, 68, Fountain Valley 1st Ward, Huntington Beach California Stake, called as president of the Newport Beach California Temple, succeeding President Stephen B. Oveson. President Borgquist's wife, Leslie Rae Bleak Borgquist, will serve as temple matron. President Borgquist, currently serving as a stake patriarch, previously served as Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission president, stake president, stake president's counselor, bishop, bishop's counselor and temple sealer. Retired president of Pacific Business Forms, Inc., he was born in Pasadena, Calif., to Stanley Rasmus and Betty Marie O'Dell Borgquist.
Sister Borgquist, currently serving as a stake Young Women president, served with her husband as he presided over the Louisiana Baton Rouge Mission, and as a ward Young Women advisor, seminary teacher and gospel doctrine teacher. She was born in Los Angeles, Calif., to Ralph Walker and Jean L. Scullen Bleak.
Brent Hansen Koyle, 63, Irmo Ward, West Columbia South Carolina Stake, called as president of the Columbia South Carolina Temple, succeeding President Alvie R. Evans. President Koyle's wife, Pamela Rae Bone Koyle, will serve as temple matron. President Koyle, currently serving as a stake patriarch, previously served as an Area Seventy, New Mexico Albuquerque Mission president, stake president, regional representative and bishop. Retired Deputy State Director of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities, he was born in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Karl Jex and Lorna Hansen Koyle.
Sister Koyle, currently serving as a stake Relief Society secretary, served with her husband as he presided over the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission, and as a ward Relief Society president, stake and ward Young Women president, ward Primary president and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Columbia, S.C., to Orson Grant and Geraldine Smith Bone.
Lewis Noble Tenney, 65, Heber 1st Ward, Taylor Arizona Stake, called as president of the Snowflake Arizona Temple, succeeding President Larry B. Brewer. President Tenney's wife, Mary Lovine Porter Tenney, will serve as temple matron. President Tenney, currently serving as a counselor in the Arizona Mesa Mission presidency, previously served as a stake president, stake president's counselor, bishop and ward mission leader. A retired business owner, he was born in Phoenix, Ariz., to Lewis Noble and Wanda Peterson Tenney.
Sister Tenney, currently serving as a Relief Society teacher and ward music chairman, previously served as a Relief Society president, ward Young Women president and stake and ward Young Women counselor. She was born in Mesa, Ariz., to Lorin Donald and Folvia Jarvis Porter.
LaRon Palmer Woolley, 69, Grande Prairie 2nd Ward, Grande Prairie Alberta Stake, called as president of the Suva Fiji Temple, succeeding President Richard W. Wells. President Woolley's wife, Elizabeth Hollister Sheppard Woolley, will serve as temple matron. President Woolley, currently serving as stake patriarch, previously served as president of the Fiji Suva Mission, and as a district president, branch president, high councilor and temple ordinance worker. A retired college professor, he was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to Joseph Anderson and Zelda Palmer Woolley.
Sister Woolley, currently serving as a gospel doctrine teacher, served with her husband as he presided over the Fiji Suva Mission and as counselor in a stake Relief Society presidency, district and branch Primary president, and district and stake music chairman. She was born in Calgary, Alberta, to John Hollister and Emma Fisher Sheppard.
