Parleys Creek (Swahili) Branch created

The Parleys Creek (Swahili) Branch was created Jan. 4, as a unit of the Salt Lake Sugar House Stake. The branch primarily will serve members and investigators who speak Swahili and several other African dialects.

Conducting the meeting to organize the branch, Stake President Ryan K. Olsen led the sustaining of Amram Musungu of Kenya as branch president, Andrew Zillale of Tanzania as first counselor, and Robert Kagabo of Uganda as second counselor.

Since stake conference will be held Jan. 11, the first scheduled meeting of the new branch will be held Jan. 18, at 808 East Roosevelt Ave. (1460 South), at 1 p.m.
