FAMILY: Born Feb. 25, 1946, in Salt Lake City to C. Elliott and Margaret Farnsworth Richards. Married Marsha Gurr on Aug. 15, 1968, in the Salt Lake Temple. Eight children: Matthew (Debby), John (Angela), Spencer (Molly), David (Meredith), Nathan (Jenny), Daniel (Hailey), Rosemary (Todd) Groesbeck, and Rebecca (Matt) Maxfield.
EDUCATION: Received a bachelor of science in medical biology in 1969 and a doctor of medicine in 1972, both from the University of Utah.
EMPLOYMENT: General surgeon for Intermountain Healthcare's Bryner Clinic.
CHURCH SERVICE: President of Texas San Antonio Mission, stake president, high councilor, Scoutmaster, bishop, elders quorum president, missionary in Southern Mexico Mission.
