New temple presidents

Three new temple presidents have been announced by the First Presidency.

Joseph Holbrook Groberg, 68, Woodruff 1st Ward, Idaho Falls Idaho Ammon West Stake, called as president of the Guayaquil Ecuador Temple, succeeding President Jorge A. Rojas. President Groberg's wife, Jeanne Pratt Groberg, will serve as temple matron. He serves as an associate legal counsel in the Chile Area and senior couple missionary. He has served as president of the Peru Lima South Mission, president of the Peru Lima Missionary Training Center, high councilor and bishop. A retired attorney and partner of a family real estate development firm, he was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Delbert Valentine and Jennie Holbrook Groberg.

Sister Groberg serves with her husband as a senior couple missionary in the Chile Area, and served with him as he presided over the Peru Lima South Mission and over the Peru Lima Missionary Training Center. She has also served as a ward Young Women president. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Claron Ure and Virginia Reeves Pratt.

Larry Vernon Lunt, 67, Holladay 10th Ward, Salt Lake Holladay Stake, called as president of the Louisville Kentucky Temple, succeeding President Dale R. Hettinger. President Lunt's wife, Susan Child Lunt, will serve as temple matron. He serves as a counselor in the Salt Lake Temple presidency, and has served as president of the Louisville Kentucky Mission, stake president's counselor, high councilor and bishop. A retired Brigadier General of the United States Air Force, he was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George Vernon and Rachel Petty Lunt.

Sister Lunt serves as an assistant to the matron of the Salt Lake Temple. She served with her husband as he presided over the Louisville Kentucky Mission. She also has served as stake Young Women president's counselor, ward Relief Society president, Young Women president and Primary president's counselor. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Richard Harold and Virgie Minnoch Child.

Noel Beldon Reynolds, 69, Sharon 5th Ward, Orem Utah Sharon Stake, called as president of the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple, succeeding President L. Edward Brown. President Reynold's wife, Sydney Sharon Smith Reynolds, will serve as temple matron. He serves as an ordinance worker in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple, and has served as president of the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission, stake president, stake president's counselor and bishop. A professor at Brigham Young University, he was born in Bell, Calif., to Beldon Heber and Virginia Noel Reynolds.

Sister Reynolds serves as an ordinance worker in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple and as an institute teacher. She served with her husband as he presided over the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission. She has also served as a counselor in the Primary General presidency, Primary General Board member, stake Young Women president's counselor and ward Relief Society president. She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Joseph Alvin and Ruth Marguerite Rees Smith.
