Announced: In a letter from the First Presidency to be read in sacrament meetings, Nov. 18, 2007.

Location: Avenida el Espino, Colonia, San Benito, Frente al Redondel Roberto, D'Abuisson, Antiguo Cascatlan, San Salvador, El Salvador.

Site: 6.5 acres.

Exterior finish: Branco Sienna Granite from Brazil.

Architect: VCBO Architecture, Salt Lake City; Contractor: Castaneda Ingenierous, San Salvador.

Rooms: Two ordinance rooms, two sealing rooms, baptistry, celestial room, brides room.

Total floor area: 27,986 square feet

District: Nineteen stakes and two districts in El Salvador, Nicaragua, part of Honduras and Belize.

Groundbreaking: Sept. 20, 2008, with Elder Don R. Clarke of the Seventy and president of the Central America Area presiding.

Dedication: Aug. 21, 2011, by President Henry B. Eyring, first counselor in the First Presidency.
