SALT LAKE CITY
The First Presidency announced, in a letter to priesthood leaders dated Jan. 10, the call of Elder Steven E. Snow as Recorder and Executive Director of the Church History Department. Elder Snow will succeed Elder Marlin K. Jensen, "who has served with excellence and distinction" and will be given emeritus status in the October 2012 general conference, according to the letter.
The change will necessitate the release of Elder Snow in the near future as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy, according to the letter.
