Church leaders across the globe gathered in their local units Feb. 11 to listen to a Worldwide Leadership Training Meeting broadcast.

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, second counselor in the First Presidency, presided at the event, which was translated and broadcast to meetinghouses around the world. Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve, conducted the training. Also participating were President Boyd K. Packer, President of the Quorum of the Twelve; Elder L. Tom Perry, Elder Russell M. Nelson, Elder M. Russell Ballard, Elder D. Todd Christofferson and Elder Neil L. Andersen, all of the Quorum of the Twelve; Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Presidency of the Seventy; Sister Elaine S. Dalton, Young Women general president; and Sister Rosemary M. Wixom, Primary general president.

"This worldwide leadership training broadcast is addressed to stake and ward priesthood and auxiliary leaders, including mission districts all over the world," said Elder Oaks. "We focus today on two major subjects. First, various speakers will consider what we seek to do in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the reason for it. Second, we will have a panel discussion on how to accomplish our objectives."

Each of the addresses and the panel discussion have been summarized on the Church News web site: www.ldschurchnews.com.
