Five new temple presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service later this year.
Blair Shields Bennett, 63, Nottingham Ward, Edmonton Alberta Bonnie Doon Stake, called as president of the new Calgary Alberta Temple. President Bennett's wife, Mary Jane Edwardine Christie Bennett, will serve as temple matron. He serves as a temple ordinance worker in the Edmonton Alberta Temple. He has served as an Area Seventy, president of the Bulgaria Sofia Mission, regional representative, stake president and bishop. A retired associate clinical professor, he was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to Harold Enniss and Dora B. Bennett.

Sister Bennett serves as a temple ordinance worker in the Edmonton Alberta Temple. She served with her husband as he presided over the Bulgaria Sofia Mission. She has served as a ward Young Women president, in a ward Primary presidency and as a Relief Society teacher. She was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to Edward Joseph and Mary Kathleen Stepnuk Christie.
Guillermo Enrique Garrido Cetina, 73, María Luisa Ward, Mérida México Stake, called as president of the Villahermosa Mexico Temple, succeeding President Jorge Méndez Ibarra. President Garrido's wife, María Cárdenas Durán de Garrido, will serve as temple matron. He serves as stake executive secretary. He has served as a counselor in the Mérida Mexico Temple presidency, district president, patriarch and branch president. A retired accountant and hotel auditor, he was born in Mérida, Yucatán, México, to Humberto Garrido Durán and Aide Marina Cetina Alvarado de Garrido.

Sister Garrido serves as a temple ordinance worker and as a Sunday school teacher. She has served in a stake Relief Society presidency, as a stake and ward Young Women president and ward Primary president. She was born in Temax, Yucatán, México, to Justo Rufino Cárdenas Rejón and Lucila Durán Herrera de Cárdenas.
Patrick Kanamu Kanekoa, 69, Kaneohe 2nd Ward, Kaneohe Hawaii Stake, called as president of the Laie Hawaii Temple, succeeding President H. Ross Workman. President Kanekoa's wife, Elizabeth Pualani Leong Kanekoa, will serve as temple matron. He serves as second counselor in the Laie Hawaii Temple presidency. He has served as a stake president's counselor, bishop and senior couple missionary. The retired president of Pacific Mechanical Company, Inc., he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Charles Kealoha and Ruth Kimiyo Eckert Kanekoa.

Sister Kanekoa serves as an assistant to the matron of the Laie Hawaii Temple. She has served in a stake Relief Society presidency, as a stake Family History director, ward Relief Society president, in a ward Young Women presidency and as a senior couple missionary. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Albert Hook Sun and Elizabeth Pualani Kaai Leong.
Masayuki Kinjo, 67, Shuri Ward, Naha Japan Stake, called as president of the Fukuoka Japan Temple, succeeding President Asao Miyashita. President Kinjo's wife, Fumiko Shinjo Kinjo, will serve as temple matron. He serves as a ward Sunday School teacher. He has served as stake president, branch president, bishop's counselor and high priest group leader. A retired attorney and prosecutor, he was born in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, to Ryoki and Eiko Yamashiro Kinjo.

Sister Kinjo serves as a family history consultant. She has served as a stake Young Women president, ward Relief Society president and stake missionary. She was born in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, to Kamasuke and Haru Ura Shinjo.
Paulo Roberto Puerta, 65, Vila Sonia Ward, Sao Paulo Brazil Stake, called as president of the Sao Paulo Brazil Temple, succeeding President Stanley D. Neeleman. President Puerta's wife, Rita Cundari Puerta, will serve as temple matron. He has served as an Area Seventy, president of the Brazil Recife Mission, president of the Brazil Missionary Training Center, temple sealer and bishop. A retired businessman, he was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to José Benjamin and Diva Euzébia Puerta.

Sister Puerta serves as a ward Relief Society pianist. She served with her husband as he presided over the Brazil Recife Mission and the Brazil Missionary Training Center. She has also served as stake Relief Society president and stake and ward Primary president. She was born in Pignataro Interamna, Frosinone, Italy, to Giacomo and Maria Benedetta Dobelli Cundari.
