Seven new visitors’ center directors and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. With the exception of Dale and Brenda Bradford who began their service in October, these couples will begin their service in January.
Dale Hansen Bradford, 60, and Brenda Lois Larsen Bradford, four children, Eastgate Ward, Cincinnati Ohio East Stake: Hill Cumorah Visitors’ Center, at Palmyra, New York, succeeding Elder David B. Ostler and Sister Rachelle Ostler. He is a former president of the Brazil São Paulo Interlagos Mission, stake presidency counselor, bishop and missionary in the Brazil São Paulo North Mission. Retired CEO, Martin’s Point Health Care. Born in Washington, D.C., to Henry Wells Bradford and Afton Hansen.
Sister Bradford served with her husband in the Brazil São Paulo Interlagos Mission and is a former stake Relief Society president, stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Young Women president and ward Relief Society presidency counselor. Born in Spanish Fork, Utah, to Glen Ray Larsen and Genevieve Eliason Larsen.
Mark Douglas Howell, 63, and Christine Ingleby Howell, eight children, Alpine Cove Ward, Alpine Utah North Stake: Mesa Arizona Temple Visitors’ Center, succeeding Elder Scott W. Cameron and Sister Christine Cameron. He is a former president of the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission, bishop, high councilor, stake Young Men president, elders quorum president and missionary in the Gulf States Mission. Retired president, AmericanWest Bank. Born in Salt Lake City to Floyd Howell and Helen Jean Wayman Howell.
Sister Howell served with her husband in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission and is a former stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Young Women president, stake cultural arts director and missionary in the Austria Vienna Mission. Richard Boyce Lines, 70, and Ramona Goodman Lines, eight children, Safford 3rd Ward, Safford Arizona Stake: Mexico City Temple Visitors’ Center, succeeding Elder R. Servando Rojas and Sister Blanca Rojas. Brother and Sister Lines recently served as a senior missionary couple in the Argentina Buenos Aires North Mission. He is a former bishop, branch president, high councilor, ward clerk, ward executive secretary and missionary in the North Argentine Mission. Retired orthodontist. DeLoy Cyril Roberts, 71, and Lorna K Erickson Roberts, six children, Templeview Ward, Idaho Falls West Stake: Idaho Falls Temple Visitors’ Center, succeeding Elder I. Bruce Crockett and Sister Layne E. Crockett. Brother and Sister Roberts recently served as a senior missionary couple in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala. He is a former temple presidency counselor in the Guatemala City Guatemala Temple, stake presidency counselor, bishop, temple ordinance worker and missionary in the Andes Mission. Jeffrey Cheever Swinton, 68, and Heidi Sorensen Swinton, five children, Winder 10th Ward, Salt Lake Winder Stake: Laie Hawaii Temple Visitors’ Center, succeeding Elder Gene F. Priday and Sister Andrea Priday. He is a sealer in the Salt Lake Temple, a high councilor and Sunday School teacher. Sister Swinton is a writer and content manager for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and author of President Thomas S. Monson’s biography, To the Rescue. She served with her husband in the England London South Mission and is a former Relief Society general board member and ward Young Women and Primary president.
