New mission presidents

Eight new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in July.

Marcos Exequiel Cifuentes, 53, and Jennifer Louise Sentz Cifuentes, four children, Stoughton Branch, Madison Wisconsin Stake: Argentina Bahia Blanca Mission, succeeding President Manuel Parreño and Sister María M. Parreño. Brother Cifuentes serves as a branch president and a former stake presidency counselor, mission presidency counselor, branch Young Men president, high councilor and missionary in the Wisconsin Milwaukee Mission. Senior vice president, World Council of Credit Unions. Born in Ñuñoa, Santiago, Chile, to Carlos Antonio Cifuentes Pérez and Haydee de las Mercedes Cifuentes Guzmán.

Sister Cifuentes is a branch choir director and Sunday School teacher and is a former branch Young Women president, ward Primary president, branch missionary, seminary teacher and Relief Society teacher. Born in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, to Howard Allan Sentz and Louise Frances Kahn.

Gregory William Egbert, 60, and Lauri Lyne Savage Egbert, six children, Karalee Ward, Sandy Utah Granite South Stake: Trinidad Port of Spain Mission. Brother Egbert serves as a ward organist and Scout committee chairman and is a former YSA bishop, bishopric counselor, stake Young Men president, elders quorum president and missionary in the Netherlands Amsterdam Mission. Maxillofacial surgeon, self-employed. Born in Washington, D.C., to William Richard Egbert and Verna McDonald Egbert.

Sister Egbert serves as a Primary chorister and is a former YSA adviser, gospel doctrine teacher, and ward Young Women and Primary president. Born in Fort Ord, California, to Virgil Allen Savage and Phyllis Jean Samuelson.

Gilbert McLeod Griffin, 59, and Jeanne Carter Griffin, six children, Lund Ward, Ely Nevada Stake: Illinois Chicago West Mission, succeeding President Jerry D. Fenn and Sister Sara M. Fenn. Brother Griffin serves as a high priests group leader and is a former stake president, stake Young Men president, bishop, high councilor, ward Young Men president and missionary in the France Paris Mission. Co-owner, Carter-Griffin, Inc. Born in Sumter, South Carolina, to William L. Griffin Sr. and Katherine McLeod Griffin.

Sister Griffin serves as a Cubmaster and is a former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Relief Society and Young Women president, seminary teacher, stake music director and missionary in the Spain Sevilla Mission. Born in Ely, Nevada, to Philip J. Carter and Ludean Hendrix Carter.

Gene Edward Hancock, 55, and Diane Ruth Harris Hancock, three children, Sunset Ward, Winslow Arizona Stake: Idaho Pocatello Mission, succeeding President Marvin T. Brinkerhoff and Sister Cailynn Brinkerhoff. Brother Hancock serves as a stake president and is a former bishop, high councilor, stake mission presidency counselor, ward mission leader, gospel doctrine teacher, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Ohio Cleveland Mission. Farmer and rancher, self-employed. Born in Winslow, Arizona, to Dale George Hancock and Linda Sue White Hancock.

Sister Hancock serves as a ward Primary teacher and is a former stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Primary and Young Women president, ward Young Women camp director and ward Primary presidency counselor. Born in Flagstaff, Arizona, to Gerald Eugene Harris and Dona Bruchman Harris.

Kevin H Loveland, 56, and Ann Elizabeth Horrocks Loveland, five children, Pocatello 44th Ward, Pocatello Idaho Tyhee Stake: Oklahoma Tulsa Mission, succeeding President Scott K. Shumway and Sister Anne Shumway. Brother Loveland serves as a stake president and is a former high councilor, gospel doctrine teacher, bishop, institute teacher, ward Young Men president and missionary in the Switzerland Geneva Mission. Farmer, Fort Hall, Idaho. Born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Karl Chester Loveland and Peggy Hall Loveland.

Sister Loveland serves as a stake history specialist and is a former stake Relief Society president, stake Young Women presidency counselor, gospel doctrine teacher, nursery leader and institute teacher. Raised in Pocatello, Idaho. Daughter of Sydney Albert Horrocks and Ione Edith Trimming Horrocks.

Adilson Izidoro de Oliveira, 49, and Elisabete de Fátima Cano de Oliveira, two children, Cidade Vargas Ward, São Paulo Brazil South Stake: Brazil Cuiabá Mission, succeeding President Keith R. Reber and Sister Stephanie Reber. Brother Oliveira serves in a Brazil MTC branch presidency and is a former bishop, stake president, welfare regional chairman and missionary in the Brazil Brasilia Mission. Institute director, Seminaries and Institutes. Born in São Paulo, Brazil, to João Izidoro de Oliveira and Idalina Sartori de Oliveira.

Sister Oliveira is a Relief Society teacher at the Brazil MTC and is a former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, stake Relief Society and Young Women president and seminary teacher. Born in São Manoel, São Paulo, Brazil, to Sebastião Cano and Olinda Lapiano Cano.

Nelson Samuel Ramirez Herrera, 45, and Gladys Irasema de la Peña de Ramirez, four children, Victoria Ward, Monterrey México Libertad Stake: México Tampico Mission, succeeding President Ralph B. Jordan III and Sister Claudia Jordan. Brother Ramirez serves as a Sunday School teacher and is a former stake president, bishopric counselor, high councilor, youth conference director and missionary in the México Mérida Mission. Facilities manager, Mexico Area, Corporation of the Presiding Bishop. Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México, to Jesús Ramirez and María Herrera de Ramirez.

Sister Ramirez serves as a ward Relief Society presidency counselor and is a former Sunday School teacher, youth conference director and ward Young Women presidency counselor. Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México, to Gustavo de la Peña and Olga Gonzalez de la Peña.

Mark Woodrow Stevens, 63, and Jean Alldredge Stevens, five children, Old Mill Ward, Salt Lake Butler Stake: England London Mission, succeeding President David J. Jordan and Sister Holly Jordan. Brother Stevens is a temple sealer and ward mission leader and is a former member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, stake president, bishop and missionary in the Italy North Mission. Retired audit partner, Deloitte & Touche. Born in Salt Lake City to Irvin Wells Stevens Jr. and Dorothy Ann Jenkins Stevens.

Sister Stevens is a counselor in the Primary general presidency and is a former member of the Primary general board, ward Relief Society and Young Women president and gospel doctrine teacher. Born in Salt Lake City to Oren Claron Alldredge and Helen Isabel Hunter Alldredge.
