A new temple president and matron have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service later this year.
Ellis Glen Stonehocker, 69, Crystalridge Ward, Calgary Alberta Foothills Stake, called as president of the Calgary Alberta Temple, succeeding President Blair S. Bennett. President Stonehocker’s wife, Glenda Lucille Bullock Stonehocker, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister M. Jane Bennett. He serves as first counselor in the Calgary Alberta Temple presidency. He has served as stake president, regional representative, bishop, Church registrar for Alberta, Canada, and as a senior missionary couple. A retired dentist, he was born in Bonnyville, Alberta, Canada, to Joseph and Rosa Lavern Stonehocker.
Sister Stonehocker serves as an assistant to the matron at the Calgary Alberta Temple. She has served as a stake and ward Young Women president, counselor in a ward Relief Society presidency, ward Young Single Adult adviser and as a senior missionary couple. She was born in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, to Glen Curtis and Anna LaVaun Bullock.
