All teachers and leaders who supervise teaching are invited to participate in a worldwide auxiliary training broadcast on “Teaching in the Savior’s Way” on Nov. 5.
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and members of the auxiliary general presidencies will provide training and answer questions about teaching in the Savior’s way, teacher council meetings, and new teacher orientation, which were recently introduced as part of an ongoing effort to “help members build faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through improved gospel teaching and learning” (see May 2 official Church notice).
Who should attend
Anyone with a calling related to teaching is invited to participate, including the following individuals:
• A member of each stake presidency
• A member of each bishopric
• The stake high councilor assigned to oversee the Sunday School
• All stake and ward auxiliary presidencies
• All called teachers
How to participate
Submit questions relating to teaching on LDS.org, then watch the broadcast on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. (Mountain Daylight Time) on LDS.org or the Church satellite system. Live interpretation will be provided in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, French, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and American Sign Language.
Members may participate in the broadcast from their homes. Stakes and wards may also plan to view it in a meetinghouse. Those who cannot participate in the live broadcast can view it on LDS.org any time after the event begins. Some wards may choose to show a recording of the broadcast in a meeting of teachers and leaders at a later date. Stream or download the broadcast at lds.org/broadcasts/training.
