In the concluding address of the concluding session of the 187th Annual General Conference, Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles remarked on the quality of the meetings.
“This has been a magnificent general conference,” he said. “We have truly been edified. If there is one preeminent objective of general conference, it is to build faith in God the Father and our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
Two other apostles, Elder D. Todd Christofferson and Elder Gary E. Stevenson, also addressed members of the Church in the Sunday afternoon session. Elders Joaquin A. Costa, S. Mark Palmer, C. Scott Grow and Benjamin De Hoyos, all General Authority Seventies, also offered remarks.
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, second counselor in the First Presidency, conducted the session while Elders Eduardo Gavarret and Marcos A. Aidukaitis, General Authority Seventies, offered prayers.
Music was provided by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir under the direction of Mack Wilberg and Ryan Murphy with Bonnie Goodliffe and Linda Margetts on the organ.
