Manti Mormon Miracle Pageant begins, organ performances and other events happening this week

Temple Square performances:

JUNE 13 — Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square will perform a gala program for the American Guild of Organists convention at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle. Visit mormontabernaclechoir.org for more information.

JUNE 14 — Stephen Tharp, an internationally renowned and award winning organist, will perform transcriptions for organ by Handel, Fauré, Brahms and other classical composers at 8 p.m. in the Conference Center.

Concerts in the Park:

JUNE 13 — Relic Acoustic Band will perform memorable tunes from the '60s and '70s at 7:30 p.m. in Brigham Young Historic Park.

JUNE 16 — The Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band will perform popular band music and patriotic selections at 7:30 p.m. in Brigham Young Historic Park.

Enjoy free, informal concerts at beautiful Brigham Young Historic Park on the corner of State St. and 2nd Ave., Salt Lake City, on Tuesday and Friday evenings in June, July and August. All ages are welcome. No tickets needed.

Seating is limited; blankets or lawn chairs are encouraged. In cases of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors to the Assembly Hall. For more information, call 801-240-3323.

Upcoming events:

JUNE 15-17, 20-24 — The Manti Mormon Miracle Pageant will be held on the hillside of the Manti Utah Temple. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 9:30 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, visit mantipageant.org or call 866-961-9040.

JUNE 22-24 — Over 2,200 members of the Millennial Choirs and Orchestras will perform "Be Still, My Soul," at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the Tabernacle. Multiple ensembles of youth and adult singers, along with their 95-piece symphony orchestra, hail from five states: California, Arizona, Texas, Utah and Idaho. Tickets are required and can be obtained for free at lds.org/events, at the Conference Center ticket office, and by calling 801-570-0080. Limit of 5 tickets per person.

JULY 14-15 — The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra on Temple Square will perform their annual Pioneer Day Concert at 8 p.m. in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis beginning in June at lds.org/events, or by calling 801-570-0080. Admission to this event is free and limited to those ages 8 and older.

On July 15, the concert will be streamed live on mormontabernaclechoir.org, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir YouTube page, LDS.org, mormonchannel.org, and BYUtv in English.

Ongoing events:

JUNE 3-JUNE 24 — The Tucson Arizona Temple open house is held Monday through Saturday, June 3-June 24. The temple will be dedicated on August 13. Reserve open house tickets at templeopenhouse.lds.org.

SUNDAY — Broadcasts of Music and the Spoken Word are held on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Tabernacle. Please be in seats by 9:15 a.m.

THURSDAY — The Mormon Tabernacle Choir welcomes anyone to attend a rehearsal, held Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle.

MONDAY-SATURDAY — The film “Meet the Mormons” is available Mondays through Saturdays in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building’s Legacy Theater. For more information call 801-570-0020 or visit lds.org/events.

DAILY — Organists perform 30-minute recitals in the Tabernacle at noon Mondays through Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.
