Clarkston Pageant, Concerts in the Park and other Church events coming up

Summer Church Pageants:

AUG. 15-19 — The Martin Harris Pageant, a presentation of the life of Martin Harris, will be held at 8:30 p.m. in the Martin Harris Memorial Amphitheater in Clarkston, Utah. Clarkston Town offers a dinner that will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. each night of the pageant at the Clarkston LDS Chapel at 25 East 100 South. Call 435-563-9090 for reservations. Concerts in the Park:

AUG. 15 — Wasatch and District Pipe Band — bagpipers, drummers and Highland dancers — will perform at 7:30 p.m.

AUG. 18 — Phoenix Jazz and Swing Band will perform big band and swing classics at 7:30 p.m.

AUG. 22 — Broadway and Company will perform an evening of Broadway favorites at 7:30 p.m.

AUG. 25 — The Malibu Revue will perform music of the golden decade of rock 'n' roll, 1956-1966, at 7:30 p.m.

Enjoy free, informal concerts at beautiful Brigham Young Historic Park on the corner of State St. and 2nd Ave., Salt Lake City, on Tuesday and Friday evenings in June, July and August. All ages are welcome. No tickets needed.

Seating is limited; blankets or lawn chairs are encouraged. In cases of inclement weather, concerts will be moved indoors to the Assembly Hall. For more information, call 801-240-3323.

Temple Square performances:

AUG. 19 — Cellist Austin Packer and pianist Lawrence Gee will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square.

AUG. 26 — Symphonic flute ensemble Flautissimo will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square.

SEPT. 10 — Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will speak in a Worldwide Devotional for Young Adults at 6:00 p.m. MST.

Ongoing events:

SUNDAY — Broadcasts of Music and the Spoken Word are held on Sundays from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Tabernacle. Please be in seats by 9:15 a.m.

THURSDAY — The Mormon Tabernacle Choir welcomes anyone to attend a rehearsal, held Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. in the Tabernacle.

MONDAY-SATURDAY — The film “Meet the Mormons” is available Mondays through Saturdays in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building’s Legacy Theater. For more information call 801-570-0020 or visit lds.org/events.

DAILY — Organists perform 30-minute recitals in the Tabernacle at noon Mondays through Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.
