In a new video released on Thursday, March 7, 2019, by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Elders David A. Bednar and Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles lead viewers through a virtual tour of the historic Rome Italy Temple.
President Russell M. Nelson, of the First Presidency, introduces the video by saying, "... A temple is literally the house of the Lord. Each temple is a Holy sanctuary in which sacred ceremonies and ordinances of the gospel are performed by and for the living, and also on behalf of the dead."
Temples are located all over the world, President Nelson explains, and this video offers a chance for the public to tour through the temple before the building is dedicated.
The historic video allows viewers from all over the world, who otherwise would be unable to tour through the temple, a chance to see the beauty and detail of the new temple — the first temple in Italy.
