Couldn’t get tickets for President Nelson’s 95th birthday celebration? Here’s how you can still participate

SALT LAKE CITY — Tickets for President Russell M. Nelson’s 95th birthday celebration are no longer available online.

However, for those who would still like to attend, patrons are encouraged to join a standby line located by the flagpole on Temple Square. According to information on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, last-minute seating is often available.

Additionally, the performance will be broadcast live on ChurchofJesusChrist.org as well as the Facebook page and YouTube channel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Other channels, broadcast and rebroadcast times are pending.

President Nelson’s birthday celebration will be held in the Conference Center on Temple Square on Sept. 6 at 8 p.m. MDT. Former sportscaster and professional quarterback Elder S. Gifford Nielsen, a General Authority Seventy, and former television news anchor Ruth Todd will emcee the event.

Additionally, The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, singer and actor Donny Osmond, singer Nathan Pacheco, vocal group Gentri and two family musical groups — Jenny Oaks Baker & Family Four and the Bonner Family — are scheduled to perform.
