Church History Library announces release of dozens of newly digitized records

The newly digitized records include meeting minutes, historical reports, journals, diaries, photographs, maps, autobiographies, correspondence and more

Researchers using the Church History Catalog now can now search and gain access to new records, according to a Church History Library blogpost.

The new records can be divided the following three categories:

  1. Previously open collections that have been digitized.
  2. Previously closed collections that are now open for research but not digitized.
  3. Collections that are both newly opened and digitized.

For example, the newly digitized Returned Missionary Registers, 1898-1913, allows researchers to search for Latter-day Saint missionaries who served during this time period, as well as the missionary’s mission assignment, hometown, date set apart and return date.
