President Russell M. Nelson traveled to Auckland, New Zealand, on May 21 to express his love for those who had been impacted by the March 15 shootings in Christchurch .
“It’s incomprehensible that anybody could do that to another human being,” President Nelson said in a Church News video. “So, what can we do? We can pray, we can love, we can minister.”
Giving a total of $100,000 to the two mosques damaged in the attacks, President Nelson reiterated an unforgettable message about the importance of unity: “We’re brothers,” he said.
During his Pacific Ministry Tour , President Nelson also visited with New Zealand’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and praised her for being a courageous leader and a peacemaker.
