Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and members of New York City’s Commission of Religious Leaders gathered at Church headquarters in June 2022 to talk about working together to lift and strengthen society.
This Church News video, titled, “Compassion in Action,” highlights Latter-day Saint efforts to help and serve those in need as well as the Church’s desire to link arms with others who feel accountable to God.
The Rev. A.R. Bernard said the visit confirmed what he has heard about the Latter-day Saints and their desire to make a difference.
The Rev. Que English said The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints uses the resources that God has blessed them with to help the world. “And to me, that is so powerful,” she said.
