BYU’s winter 2024 devotional lineup includes 2 Apostles

Two Apostles and four general authorities/officers within the Church will address BYU students, faculty and staff during winter 2024 semester

Each Tuesday of the semester at 11:05 a.m., students, faculty and staff of Brigham Young University are invited to receive spiritual and temporal edification by listening to a devotional or forum address in the Marriott Center.

The speaker lineup for winter semester 2024, published on Dec. 18 on BYU’s newsroom, will include two Apostles and four other general authorities/officers in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as well as a Harvard law professor and an advocate for science and technology education for African Americans.

Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, who last spoke at BYU in January 2021, will speak on Jan. 23, while fellow Apostle Elder Dale G. Renlund, who addressed the campus during BYU Education Week last summer, will speak on March 5.

March

  • 12 – Steven J. Hafen, BYU administration vice president
  • 19 – Elder Brian K. Taylor, General Authority Seventy
  • 26 – Danielle Allen, Harvard University (Forum)

April

  • 2 – Rick Anderson, BYU university librarian
  • 9 – Mary Davis, BYU College of Life Sciences
  • 16 – Unforum

Last semester

Last semester, which included the inauguration of BYU’s new president, President Reese, featured devotional remarks by Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in addition to Sister Kristin M. Yee, second counselor in the Relief Society general presidency and Elder Allen D. Haynie, Elder Gary B. Sabin, and Elder Matthew L. Carpenter, all General Authority Seventies.
