President Dallin H. Oaks and his wife, Sister Kristen Oaks, will speak to young adults during a worldwide devotional on Temple Square on Sunday, May 21.
The devotional with President Oaks, first counselor in the First Presidency of the Church, comes nearly one year to the day after President Russell M. Nelson spoke to the same audience with his wife, Sister Wendy Nelson.
Young adults ages 18-30, married or single, are invited to participate and are encouraged to invite and gather with their friends to listen to President and Sister Oaks.
The event is not open to the public but will be broadcast to many chapels worldwide and will be streamed live on the Church’s website and on its YouTube channel. Those wishing to attend in person should contact their stake presidency.
Those young adults who live in the time zones that encompass North and South America can view the live broadcast at 6 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time.
Young adults in other areas of the world or who cannot participate live will be able to view the devotional on broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org for two weeks following the event, on the Church’s YouTube channel or on the satellite rebroadcast the following week on the afternoon and evening of Sunday, May 28.
The event will also be available to watch on Gospel Library both at ChurchofJesusChrist.org and in the app.
How to view online
Young adults can watch the broadcast:
- On the Church’s satellite system.
- On broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org (available for two weeks).
- On YouTube, via both live and on-demand streaming in ten languages.
Also, video files will be available in all broadcast languages in Gospel Library under “Young Adults” shortly after the broadcast.

President and Sister Nelson’s message in 2022
In his devotional on May 15, 2022, President Nelson invited young adults to “decide what kind of life you want to live forever.”
He said that three fundamental truths would help young adults on their life’s journey.
“First: Know the truth about who you are.
“Second: Know the truth about what Heavenly Father and His Son have offered you.
“And third: Know the truth related to your conversion.”
Sister Nelson posed a question she asked young adults to use whenever faced with a challenge. “What would a holy young adult do?” she asked.
She invited the young adults to get a little better each day at living a holier life.
“As you live your life in crescendo, trying to be just a little more holy day by day and quickly repenting when you mess up, you will find joy in this life, and eternal life in the world to come,” said Sister Nelson. “And, you will begin to experience, in a most profound and unforgettable way, exactly what our Savior, Jesus Christ, promised when He said: ‘I am able to make you holy.’”
