While many people face a barrage of unending and seldom-significant electronic mail in the day, they may find it pleasant to relax in the evening with a weekly newspaper of reasonable size and length, and of predictable quality — the Church News.
In its 73rd year, the Church News is unparalleled in its coverage of the worldwide expanding Church. Thanks to electronic communication and the network of correspondents, contributors and public affairs workers, information in the Church News about the events of the Church, coverage of its leaders, and other happenings that affect members is broader and more current than ever.
And in keeping with this progress is service online to renew a Church News subscription on the Church's home page, lds.org.
To subscribe to the Church News — and the Ensign, New Era, Friend and Liahona — on lds.org, click on the Order Church Materials link in the lower left hand column of the home page. Then click on Magazines, then on Subscriptions and Renewals. A subscribe button comes up that leads to an ordering template for the Ensign, New Era, Friend, Church News, and to the Liahona in any of its 47 languages.
While there are many other electronic news sources that have sprung up lately, only the Church News has seven decades of experience and history of reliability. Correspondents, contributors or staff members are in both hemispheres, north and south, at any given time, synthesizing information and photographs to send for publication, keeping Church News readers the most informed of all regarding worldwide developments of the Church.
Separate subscriptions to the Web version of the Church News are available at the deseretnews.com site. For those who so choose, the Church News page of the Deseret Morning News provides subscribers with immediate access to the weekly publication.
To subscribe to the Web version of Church News on the deseretnews.com site, go halfway down on the home page and click in the left hand column on LDS Church News. On the succeeding page is a register/subscribe link, that, when followed, leads to a subscription page.
Because the Church News is published by the Deseret Morning News, in Utah it is a section of the Saturday paper and is available separately by mail only in selected postal codes where the newspaper cannot be obtained through home delivery or single copy purchase.
Traditional mail-in subscriptions are also available by filling out the coupon below, which also includes gift subscriptions.
