These new temple presidents are called to serve on two different continents

The following two new temple presidents and matrons have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service when the temples are dedicated.

Brent L. Jameson, 71, Higley Manor Ward, Gilbert Arizona Williams Field Stake, called as president of the new Kinshasa Democratic Republic of the Congo Temple. President Jameson’s wife, Lorraine Bird Jameson, will serve as temple matron. He is a Sunday School teacher, Public Affairs specialist and a temple sealer, and a former Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission president, stake president, bishop and senior couple missionary. A retired French college professor, he was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Parley L and Leah Jameson.

Sister Jameson is a Sunday School teacher, Relief Society music leader and temple ordinance worker. She served with her husband as he presided over the Democratic Republic of the Congo Kinshasa Mission, and is a former stake and ward Young Women and Primary presidency counselor, and senior couple missionary. She was born in Salt Lake City to Karl Phillips and Iza Draper Bird.

Joe Neil Swenson, 62, Deer Creek Ward, Midway Utah West Stake, called as president of the new Concepción Chile Temple. President Swenson’s wife, Jolene Swain Swenson, will serve as temple matron. He is a high councilor and a former Chile Concepción South Mission president, stake president, branch president and bishopric counselor. President/CEO of Imagine Learning, he was born in Provo, Utah, to J LaVell and Mary Josephine Elder Swenson.

Sister Swenson is a stake Young Women presidency counselor. She served with her husband as he presided over the Chile Concepción South Mission and is a former ward Relief Society and Young Women president, and seminary teacher. She was born in Provo, Utah, to Mack F and LaRie Kay Swain.
