Since the April 2024 general conference, a new Sunday School general presidency has started serving, 11 new General Authority Seventies were called and changes made to the Presidency of the Seventy.

These new mission president and companion have been called to serve by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in October.

The 6 will serve in the Church’s Africa, Mexico and South America administrative areas.

Stakes were reorganized in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Louisiana, Tennessee and Utah in the U.S., and around the world in Brazil, Kiribati and the Philippines.

Ten couples have been called to serve as Missionary Training Center presidents and companions by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in January 2025.

Three stakes were created in African countries — Kenya, Malawi and Mozambique — and five were reorganized in Argentina, Ecuador, Ghana, Haiti and New York.

A new stake was created in Malawi, in east Africa, and 13 stakes were reorganized in two U.S. states and in eight more countries, including Chile, Colombia, Nicaragua, Peru, Philippines, Tonga, Vanuatu and Venezuela.

Nine stakes were reorganized in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay and Uruguay.

New presidents and matrons of the Anchorage Alaska and Los Angeles California temples have been called by the First Presidency. They have already begun their service.
