Video: A look at why President Nelson ministers to Latter-day Saints around the world

President Russell M. Nelson has wrapped up his Latin America Ministry Tour.

A Church News video shows an overview of the tour, during which President Nelson spoke at six devotionals and visited five countries in nine days. The prophet's stops included Guatemala, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina and Brazil. Traveling a total of 14,779 miles, he ministered to 344,452 Latter-day Saints.

In May 2019, President Nelson also completed a Pacific Ministry Tour to Hawaii, Samoa, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Tahiti. Similarly, in October 2018, he embarked on a South America Ministry Tour, finishing with the dedication of the Concepcion Chile Temple. Since becoming prophet of the Church, President Nelson has visited six continents.

"This is a global ministry," he said. "The gospel's for everyone. The Lord loves all of His children and He wants all of them to come back home."
