Pictures of the newly remodeled Frankfurt Germany Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints were released on Sept. 9.
An open house for the public will be held from Friday, Sept. 13 to Saturday, Sept 28, and the temple will be formally dedicated on Sunday, Oct. 20, in three sessions. A youth devotional will take place on Saturday, Oct. 19.
The renovation began in 2015, which included an enlargement of the temple and the addition of a new underground baptistry, according to Newsroom. Key historic features of the temple’s exterior, such as the stone cladding and copper roof, were preserved while updates were made. New plantings have been added to the temple grounds.
The Frankfurt Germany was originally dedicated in 1987. It was the second temple in the country following the Freiberg Germany Temple and the fifth in Europe.
