- Elder Eduardo Gavarret was born May 11, 1956, in Minas, Uruguay, to Juan and Elsa Gavarret. He is married to Sister Norma Gorgoroso Gavarret.
- He served a full-time mission in the Uruguay Paraguay Mission and was sustained as a General Authority Seventy during the April 2008 general conference.
- Prior to being called to the Seventy, Elder Gavarret’s career in the pharmaceutical industry would take the family throughout South America. In Paraguay, he was a bishop; in Bolivia, a stake president; in Brazil, a temple worker and an Area Seventy; and in Peru, a member of a bishopric.
