The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has called new mission presidents and companions for 134 missions worldwide. They will begin their assignments in July. This includes five new missions in Africa and one in Europe.

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has called new mission presidents and companions for 134 missions worldwide. They will begin their assignments in July. This includes five new missions in Africa and one in Europe.

The First Presidency has called new mission presidents and companions for 134 missions worldwide.

These couples will begin their three-year service in July. Their names and mission assignments are below. Five couples will be announced later.

The list includes assignments for the six new missions that begin this summer — five in Africa and one in Europe; with the additions, the Church will have 416 total missions.

The six are:

  • Cote d’Ivoire Abidjan North Mission
  • Democratic Republic of the Congo Kananga Mission
  • Nigeria Aba Mission
  • Nigeria Abuja Mission
  • South Africa Pretoria Mission
  • România Bucharest Mission

The Church News will begin profiling new mission leadership couples in the coming weeks and months.
