The following new temple president and matron have been called to serve by the First Presidency. They will begin their service when the temple is dedicated.
Hiroshi Kinjo and Takako Asato Kinjo, Matsudo 1st Ward, Matsudo Japan Stake, called as president and matron of the new Okinawa Japan Temple. President Kinjo is a Japan Sapporo Mission president and a former stake president, high councilor and bishop. An institute director for Seminaries and Institutes of Religion, he was born in Naha, Japan, to Seizo Kinjo and Sachiko Kinjo.
Sister Kinjo is a mission president companion and a former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, stake Young Women presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president and ward Young Women president. She was born in Ginowan, Japan, to Yoshio Asato and Haruko Asato.
