President M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, posted on Instagram on Jan. 17. He reminisced on a night when he and his wife, Sister Barbara Ballard, admired the night’s stars. He said, “[Christ’s] light returns and removes the shadows of the world from our midst and our minds.”

Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles stressed the importance of temples. He wrote, “As we enter the temple, we temporarily step out of the world.” He said that in the temple, thoughts and desires are realigned with an eternal perspective.

On Jan. 17, Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles shared his testimony of the Savior on social media. “Do everything within your reach to keep your faith growing with a brightness of hope in the redeeming love of our Savior,” he tweeted. “His outstretched hands will reach to your outstretched hands and expand your faith beyond anything you can imagine.”

On Instagram, Sister Amy A. Wright of the Primary general presidency testified of children’s ability to gather Israel, as invited by President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She wrote, “I was so inspired by the children I met during my recent visit to the Philippines as they shared what they can do to help build the kingdom of God.”

Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles reminded all that if one has not been able to maintain their New Year’s resolutions, there is no need to wait to try again. He tweeted on Jan. 20, “Because of Jesus Christ, you can start again today and every day.”

On Jan. 20, Sister Rebecca L. Craven of the Young Women general presidency posted a video on Instagram. She asked how others will receive the Savior this year. She wrote, “This year, instead of worrying so much about being the perfect gift giver, I’ve decided I want to be the receiver of the perfect gift, Jesus Christ.”

On Facebook on Jan. 19, Brother Milton Camargo of the Sunday School general presidency shared his excitement for studying the New Testament throughout the 2023 year. He wrote, “It will be the best year of studying this book of holy scriptures because the Lord will surely show us greater things.”
