Video: Recalling the influence of his wife, President Holland finds a ‘beautiful moment’ in the plan of salvation

President Jeffrey R. Holland reflects on what he has learned about the plan of salvation since the death of his wife, Sister Patricia T. Holland, in July

President Jeffrey R. Holland, acting president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, married Sister Patricia Terry Holland 60 years ago on June 7, 1963, in the St. George Utah Temple. Sister Holland died Thursday, July 20, 2023, at the age of 81.

He is scheduled to rededicate the St. George Utah Temple on Sunday, Dec. 10.

“She’s the greatest woman I’ve ever known ever in my life,” he said.

This Church News video, titled “Beautiful Moment,” features President Holland talking about his late wife and what he learned after her death.

Since Pat’s gone, I don’t know that I ever thought about death the way I’ve thought about it now,” he said. “Long nights and tearful days, and what I came out of it knowing is that … I’ll be with her again.”
