President Russell M. Nelson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, posted on his social media pages a Christmas wish of “heavenly peace” — combining written words with a musical treat.
In addition to testifying of Jesus Christ’s sacred birth and mission, the posts include a video of President Nelson — who turned 100 years old in September — playing “Silent Night” on the piano in a living room featuring several Nativity scenes and finishing with a joyful statement of “Merry Christmas.”
The posts were published on President Nelson’s social media pages on Sunday, Dec. 22.
The text of his message reads:
“My dear friends, I have always found so much joy in the beautiful Christmas hymns that testify of Jesus Christ’s sacred birth and divine mission.
“Whether your voice is young or old, we can all join the angels who sang rejoicing on that ‘silent night’ so long ago, even as we look forward to the day He will come again.
“I love you all and wish you ‘heavenly peace,’ not only at Christmas but every day as we strive to walk the path of discipleship.”
