The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has issued a statistical report on the growth and status of the Church as of Dec. 31, 2022.

The report was released during the April 2023 general conference on Saturday, April 1, and published on ChurchofJesusChrist.org.

  • Stakes — 3,521
  • Missions — 411
  • Districts — 517
  • Wards and branches — 31,330

Church Membership

  • Total membership — 17,002,461
  • New children of record during 2022 — 89,059
  • Converts baptized during 2022 — 212,172

Missionaries

  • Full-time teaching missionaries — 62,544
  • Senior Church-service missionaries — 27,070
  • Young Church-service missionaries — 2,736
