Sister Kristin M. Yee, second counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, shared via Facebook a recent painting of the Savior that she completed. In the Aug. 30 post, she expressed the importance of the different talents each individual has.

“We are all creators and have the ability to create in some capacity. Create art, create joy, create solutions, create kindness, create relationships,” she wrote. “Creating is a Godlike attribute. It is part of our divine nature. We offer our creations to Him, and He magnifies them.”

She was one of several leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who shared their thoughts on social media this week.

President M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, tweeted on Sept. 1, “We live in a world of uncertainty, complexity, and confusion. The demands of everyday life can wear us down.” He continued, “I believe there is one simple but profound principle that can help us free ourselves from this tangled web of challenges to find peace of mind and happiness: service.”

Young Women General President Bonnie H. Cordon posted a Facebook video interviewing different individuals. She invited Facebook followers to ponder the question, “What is Christlike leadership to you?”

Sunday School General President Mark L. Pace extended a promise on Aug. 29 in regards to Christ-centered teaching. He said: “I promise that if we do our best to make Jesus Christ the center of our teaching, He will pour down blessings upon us.”

On Aug. 31, Sister J. Anette Dennis, first counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, took to social media to share a redwood analogy. She explained that just as the trees’ roots are wound together with one another, individuals find strength when helping each other throughout life’s difficulties.

She said, “There is great strength in unity!”

“During trials, I turn to what I call ‘protection scriptures,’ which remind me to look to the future with faith,” tweeted Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on Aug. 31. He provided a few scriptures that are his favorites and invited others to do the same.

Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson shared a Facebook post on Sept. 1. She told about speaking at the Provo, Utah, Missionary Training Center recently.

She wrote: “I invited the missionaries to learn to recognize how the Spirit speaks to them personally. The Spirit does not always speak to me in the same way.”

Sister Rebecca L. Craven, second counselor in the Young Women general presidency, in a Facebook post Sept. 1 wrote about her time recently in the Philippines and a conversation she had with a young woman named Carlex in regard to patriarchal blessings.

She said: “Your blessing will reassure you of your divine heritage as a daughter or son of heavenly parents. Through your blessing, Heavenly Father will reaffirm His love for you. He wants you to return and live with Him again.”

Sister Tracy Y. Browning, second counselor in the Primary general presidency. posted on Facebook on Sept. 2. She said, “We are helping children build a lifelong love of walking on the covenant path by teaching them doctrine in lessons and music, ministering to them individually, and preparing them to make and keep sacred covenants.”

Sister Browning invited audience members to share something they have learned from a child about the Savior.
