Music & the Spoken Word: The Christmas story in Luke 2

Lesley Nicol, a guest artist for the Tabernacle Choir’s Christmas concert, shares the Christmas story in Luke 2 during this week’s ‘Music & the Spoken Word.’

Editor’s note: “The Spoken Word” is shared by Lloyd Newell each Sunday during the weekly Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square broadcast. This will be given Dec. 17, 2023. Lesley Nichol, one of the featured guest artists for this year’s Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square’s Christmas concert, will read the message from Luke 2 during Sunday’s broadcast.

“And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed. 

“And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
