Prophet

In dedicating Church’s 220th house of the Lord, the Prophet emphasized Latter-day Saints connecting to the Savior and covenants.

Local Latter-day Saints recall his visits to Belo Horizonte, Brazil, from past decades and anticipate his return this weekend.

President Dallin H. Oaks will dedicate new house of the Lord in one of Brazil’s largest cities and states.

President Dallin H. Oaks marked his first birthday as Prophet with family in Utah.

Born Aug. 12, 1932, President Dallin H. Oaks has served as President of the Church since Oct. 14, 2025.

It will be a series of firsts for him as President of the Church — first international temple dedication and first international ministry.

President Dallin H. Oaks made a surprise appearance and Relief Society General President Camille N. Johnson was the parade marshal in the Days of ’47 Pioneer Day Parade.

Held by the descendants of Abinadi and Hannah Seely Olsen for more than 100 years, the 2026 family reunion included more than 600 people.

"We have a unique and true testimony of Christ. That is the key to everything else," President Oaks said at 2026 Seminar for New Mission Leaders.
