In the 2025 First Presidency’s Christmas Devotional, President Jeffrey R. Holland invited listeners to make someone who’s temporarily alone feel “home for Christmas.”

Hundreds gathered on Washington D.C. Temple grounds and listened to the Church’s newest Apostle testify of the Savior.

Apostle also said students ‘peacefully reflected the light and love that Jesus Christ has’ following Sept. 10 UVU shooting.

Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles recently ministered to leaders, members and missionaries in Mexico City.

“When we give — whether it be through a machine, a donation or even just a kind act — we become His light," testified Elder Gary E. Stevenson.

Elder Gérald Caussé said light symbolizes Christmas, and the Mexican ambassador explained the meaning of "tekia," during the lighting at Washington D.C. Temple Visitors Center.

During recent ministry in central Asia and the Middle East, Elder David A. Bednar dedicated the first Latter-day Saint chapel Azerbaijan, and met with Uzbekistan president and religious leaders in United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

Born Dec. 3, 1940, President Jeffrey R. Holland has served as an Apostle since 1994 and as president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles since October 2025.

Elder Patrick Kearon's words and love "brought hope and comfort to us all," a local leader said.

"It is wonderful to see the blessings the Lord has poured upon these people," said the Apostle.
