Temple milestones in 2024: Another look at 37 renderings released

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released renderings for 37 new houses of the Lord in 2024, located in 13 U.S. states and 9 other countries

In 2024, the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints released more than 30 exterior renderings of previously announced temples, providing the first look of the future houses of the Lord.

A total of 36 of the 37 exterior renderings show new temples for 13 different states of the United States — including two each in California and Washington — and for nine other countries, including six in Brazil and four in Mexico.

A third of the renderings — 12 total — were released in the month of December.

Also, an updated rendering of the Grand Rapids Michigan Temple was released prior to the temple’s Dec. 7, 2024, groundbreaking, showing some architectural modifications made after a first rendering was published.

Below is another look at the 37 total renderings released in 2024, with each temple announced by President Russell M. Nelson in a general conference setting between April 2019 and April 2024.
